Rocky Warren retired as a patrol Sergeant for Placer County, California Sheriff's Department, CA. He has more than thirty-one years of experience as a paid Peace Officer. He is a former SWAT member, defensive tactics, impact weapon, firearms, and police use of force instructor and has taught instructors in these disciplines. Rocky’s formed Warren Consulting to offer training, contract training and expert witness services. Rocky is currently on staff at two community colleges. Rocky is a court tested expert in use of force, choking, firearms and police practices. He’s a member of the Public Safety Writer's Association and is the author of three published books; "Behind the Badge - Real Stories From the Police Beat", "Police Use of Force Case Law - Instructor's Manual", and "Paradigm of the Moral Warrior.” He also has short stories printed in the benefit book “True Blue – Police Stories by Those Who Have Lived Them” and "True Blue II. He also has three short stories published in “Warriors – On Living With Courage, Discipline and Honor.” Rocky has presented and taught at several national and international trainer's conferences. In September 2007 he taught use-of-force case law at the National Use of Force Summit in Alexandria, VA. The Use of Force Summit was presented by Performance Institute, a non-partisan think tank. He has also been contracted to teach and facilitate at the 2008 National Use of Force Summit. Rocky is the recipient of two bronze medals of Valor and was named in Marquis “Who’s Who In America” for the year 2000. |
